Alabama friends–
Hope this finds you well. I wanted to write y’all quick note about a special fundraiser show I’m doing in Birmingham on Friday, September 7th at The Dark Room (located in the Phoenix Building downtown). It’s a perfect setting for a solo acoustic show and ALL proceeds will go towards the ‘Meals for Children’ program through New Breath Ministries in Costa Rica. They have some extremely urgent needs for the bare essentials (food, water, supplies, etc), and this is an easy way for us to help them provide for the kids down there.
As for the show, it will be different than anything I’ve ever done. I’ll be talking about the origins of some of my favorite songs–old and new–as well as answering a few questions that some of y’all might have about the music. The Pedal Stills, a great act from the Nashville area will be doing a special acoustic set as well–so make sure to get there on time if possible. Check out the photo below of my good friend Matthew Perryman Jones doing his thing at The Dark Room–it’s a beautiful spot for this kind of show.
Hopefully we can all come together and provide some help where help is needed.
